Only a parent, legal guardian, or individual listed in Skyward as an emergency contact can clear absences. Students who are 18 years old and wish to clear their own absences should provide the Attendance Office with written permission from a parent or guardian. This letter is available in the Attendance Office and must be renewed annually. Be advised that if a large number of absences are reported, whether excused or unexcused, this privilege can be revoked.
Attendance letters for truancy and excessive absences will be sent. These letters will alert parents about student absences.
Leaving During the School Day:
If a student is required to leave school during the school day, they must pick up a pass from the main office and check out through the Attendance Office before leaving. Please be reminded that we cannot take messages to students unless it is an emergency. Job-related messages, reminders for appointments, and arrangements for rides after school are not considered emergencies.
